Academic Scholarships
Incoming freshmen may be awarded an academic scholarship based on their scores on the TACHS exam and/or review of their 6th, 7th, and current 8th grade records. Academic Scholarships awarded are indicated with the student’s acceptance letter. Conditions to maintain the scholarship are explained within the acceptance notification.
Transfer students or incoming freshman that did not take the TACHS exam may be awarded an Academic Scholarship based upon evaluation of their academic records over the past three (3) school years. Generally, students that maintain a 95 cumulative average or higher may be offered an academic scholarship depending upon availability.
Students not awarded scholarships at the time of acceptance may be offered an Academic Award in future years if enrollment based on the student’s academic achievements while attending SJB. Student’s placement on the Principal’s Honor Roll, or maintaining Summa Cum Laude status may be offered scholarship based upon availability. Please see our Course Offering Guide under our Counseling Department for further information.
St. John the Baptist DHS will match any academic scholarship offered from other Catholic High Schools. Any scholarship received from another Catholic High School must be presented in writing from the competing high school in order to be honored. Please contact the Director of Admissions for conditions that may apply to this program.
